PAULA BOGGS BAND traverse jazz, world, rock and Americana. This Seattle-brewed soulgrass group’s rich, rootsy style comes from its versatile lineup: Lead vocalist/guitarist Paula Boggs; guitarist/banjo player Mark Chinen; bassist/vocalist Isaac Castillo; multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Eric Vanderbilt Matthews; percussionist/vocalist Tor Dietrichson; & drummer Sandy Greenbaum.
Paula has a longstanding history of activism. She is a former member of the President's Committee on the Arts & Humanities (PCAH) who resigned on August 18. She has had a 14-year career in public service, including federal prosecutor, attorney for the U.S. Army and Department of Defense, and White House Office of Legal Counsel. She is an Army Airborne veteran, and received a Congressional appointment to the US Naval Academy – among America’s first women to do so. She’s also spent many years as Starbucks' top lawyer and as vice president at Dell Computer Corporation.
